Family names

What family names would you consider using in some way for future children?

From my side:
Elaine (this WILL be used)
Daniel (would consider using Danielle on a girl)
Fern (full name is Fernande, but I would only use the short form).
Giselle
Laurette (while the name is not my style at all, it is my dear late grandma's name and I would seriously consider using it as a second middle name in her honour).
Also, I would consider Yvonne. My grandpa is Yvon, and I would use the feminine version.

From my FH's side:
Matthew
Raymond
Elsa
Marley (f)
Mary
Diane

Edit to add: Also, Teada was being considered for me before I was born and is the only "made up" name I've ever appreciated. My grandpa took it from O'hAirtneada which was an original form of my mom's maiden name "Harnett". Not so much a "family name" but in a weird way it sort of is, and I would consider it.

Anthony -- after SO's late father
Michael -- after my father
Lee - my SO's father's middle name, my father's middle name, my mother's middle name, AND my SO's middle name
Louisa -- SO's grandmother's middle name was Lois, his mother's middle name is Louise, so continuing the general idea
Marie - my middle name, and I love it

Karin- after my Oma-- this will be used.
Megan, Wade, and Wyatt- After my siblings who will serve as Godparents- the names will be used as middle names.
Jules- After my nickname.

I've also considered using Arlen, Corinna, and Ernestine as middle names after my parents.

I also plan on using 2 friends names (Elidia and Genevieve) as middle names for any daughters.

Thanks, it is my mom's second middle name. My Oma took it after her mother (Erna), but she felt that was too old-fashioned.

Lynn -- my mother's middle name
James -- my stepfather's name

one of my great-grandmothers is named Claire, and I think it's a beautiful name. however, my mom has absolutely forbidden me from ever using that name since great-grandma is a raging bitch. haha.

First boy will have Daniel as a middle name (same as SO and his father's middle name)

First girl will have Maree as a middle name (same as mine and my mother's middle name)

Other family name's I might use:
Kenneth - my late grandfather's name; brother and uncles middle name
James - father's middle name (but he doesn't like it, so lately I've been thinking... see Joe/Joseph/Josephine)
Joe/Joseph - my dad's nickname that he completely goes by
Josephine - from my dad's nickname
Francis - my grandfather and brother's middle name
Evan/Evander - for my great grandmother, Evelyn
Evelyn/Eve - as above
Sylvia - my Nan's name
Janet - SO mother's middle name (don't like it, so hopefully he will not suggest it :P)

A lot of mine are more variations on family names, but the intent is there. :D

Helen - ggma's name as well as gma's middle name
Cora - ggma's middle name
any form of Mary - countless family members
Elisabeth - my mom's name is Lisa
Rebecca - SO's mom's name
Diana - mom's mn is Diane
Antonia - SO's and brother's mn is Anthony, but I prefer the feminine version

Allan - my dad's name (he passed away, so this will almost definitely be the middle name of my first son)
Davis - gma's maiden name
John - gpa's name

...that's it for boys, really. Not nearly as many boys' names in my family that I like. :P

I think Elaine, Daniel, Danielle, Fern, and Mary are all nice. I think it'd be cooler to use Yvon than Yvonne. Teada would be a neat thing to use too, I think.

From my family:
Evelyn - plan to use as mn for first daughter
Frances - plan to use as mn for second daughter or as a second mn for first daughter. We'd also probably use Francis on a boy.

Claire - would use as fn, but probably won't get to it. It's after my grandfather, whose mn is Clair.

From DH's side:
Nicholas - our son's mn
DH isn't terribly close to his dad's side, so it'd be nice to honor his mother's side, but I don't totally love any names. Ones I like the most I guess are Diann, Marie, and Joyce. I really wish his grandpa's name wasn't Keith. :(

My grandmother's name was Maj-Britt. She was born in Sweden, so when she came here she sort of unofficially shortened it to May. I would use May for a daughter's middle name. It works nicely with almost every girl's name on my list. I tend to like long, romantic girl's names.

Eric is my father's middle name, and I like the way it goes with my number one boy's name Nathaniel. Nathaniel Eric.
My husband's father was named Warren. I like this and would consider using it somehow.

Family names...I would probably use Ann (my mom's first name), Genevieve (my mom's middle name and my great-grandmother's first name), and Patricia (my grandmother's middle name). Also Mary/Marie would likely be used in some way (Mary is my sister's first name, and was my grandmother's first name, and Marie is my middle name, both of my aunts' middle names, and my paternal grandmother's first name).

As far as boy's names go, there is usually a Donald in every generation. I think I will leave my brother or sister to use is, though :P
