I literally just saw this name on a friend's Facebook: Nicoal. I've never seen that spelling of the name before.

A few weeks ago at work I overheard a woman call out for her young blond son in the bathroom. His name is Langston. What do you think of the name Langston?

Also, what do you think of the name Darcy? I wasn't too fond of it at first but after reading a couple of Emily Giffin books I'm starting to really like it.

the spelling of Nicoal is DUMB IMO. haha...

Langston is totally uber preppy to me, but other than that it's kinda cute :) Makes me think of Landon, which i like a bit more than Langston, but is still cute:)

Darcy is "eh" for me... NMS i guess, but not horrible.

That's a terrible spelling of Nicole.
Langston is nice, but I don't think I like it on an actual person. Except Langston Hughes.
I actually like Darcy quite a bit.

I had a boss who was D'arcy, I think that kind of gives it more of a 'male tone'.

Its kinda femmy, otherwise.

Ugh. When I see Darcy, I think of these nutball spinsters in training who are convinced that Mr. Perfect is going to come and sweep them off their feet and in turn spurn everyone around them because omg it was in a book.

Hey, married ladies have the hots for Mr. Darcy too! I'm just saying. Not that Mr. Darcy is perfect in the book, rather the opposite. But hot and rich, yes. ;) But um, would not name a boy Darcy. It sounds feminine to me as a first name.

I didn't say it was a rational interpretation :p

Don't like Nicoal. I think of Langston being more of a last name but it's not bad or anything. And Darcy just makes me think of Pride and Prejudiced.

Nicoal - fucking ridiculous
Langston - Not really my style, but not that bad
Darcy - HATEHATEHATE it, just because the one Darcy I know irl is completely narcissistic and a huge bitch

Someone I knew from high school goes by Nicoal, but the actual spelling of her name is Nicole. She's just one of those sorts that always has to stand out because she's So Damn Indie, or whatever.

Ugh. I did that in middle school - I started spelling my name in different ways, and settled on Melysa - but then I realized it's great as it is and also Melysa has the danger of being pronounced meh-LIE-sa. I don't think Melyssa's so bad, though (mine is spelled Melissa).

Nicoal - don't like.

Langston I love. I think it's what made fall in love with Landon(my son's name) the first time I saw it. I've loved Langston since I've read Langston Hughes but I didn't really want to use it.

I don't like Darcy. It reminds me of Darby or whatever that Christopher Robin replacement is named.

Nicoal is a HORRIBLE spelling. D:

I'm not a fan of Langston .. it's not my taste at all.

I like Darcy; I only know one person with that name (a girl I work with) and she's really nice, so yeah. :)

I love the name Langston and I like Darcy, too, but more on a boy (a la Jane Austen) than a girl. But I like Emily Giffin's books as well :D

Lol, Nicoal? D:
Langston is ugly, imo.
Darcy is okay (I used to hate it), but I think most people will think of the Jane Austen character. I met my first female Darcy recently- she's lovely... =)
