My mom's friend's grandchildren are Gabrielle Luna, Colton Moon, and Tiger Lily. Gabrielle and Colton are twins, and Tiger Lily usually goes by Lily.

Tiger Lily? As in I am Tiger Lily and you are Peter Pan?

And Luna means Moon. But I guess if they're twins that's kinda cool.

so you would call a little girl Tiger?

er... okay, and you would have no reservations about calling a little girl Tiger, knowing she's going to grow into a woman with the name Tiger? And she's going to have to go to school with the name Tiger? I just don't understand the appeal of this name. Is it because it's paired with Lily? Would you name a daughter Tiger Rebecca or Tiger Alice? Or is it just Tiger Lily?

Nope, and any daughter of mine would grow into her name and be proud of it. Why do you care so much if I like it?

Oh and I don't like Tiger Alice but Tiger Rebecca is nice. It doesn't necessarily have to be Tiger Lily.

I love Gabrielle and Colton. But I don't like the middle names.

I would consider Luna for a middle name...but hearing middle names announced at a recent graduation made me cringe.

"Erica Poseidon ....."
"Jonathon Aristotle Francois ......"
"Ashley Elizabeth Dreama ......"

I have now begun rethinking my plan for a more unusual middle name.

Hee! Well, that's only one day out of your kid's life ;) Someone I knew almost named her child Maura Elbereth. Thank GOD she changed her mind once she was born.

I think it's a Tolkien thing. I could have completely fucked it up, I've never read the books, but I know it was a reference to those books.
She ended up naming her Maura Grace.

It's pretty cool that the twins have matching middle names, one in English and one in Spanish.

Gabrielle Luna and Colton Moon are nice enough, but. Tiger Lily? Eesh. A nice name on its own, but what with the Peter Pan reference and all...plus, I mean, her name is "Tiger." Which...just seems mean.

I don't understand why people name their little girls Tiger Lily. So her first name is Tiger? When her teacher calls roll, she'll say "Tiger Smith"? That's seriously awful.

Gabrielle Luna and Colton Moon are nice, at least she kept the weird names in the middle. Poor Tiger Lily :(

Yes, but her legal first name is still Tiger. Meaning when the teacher calls roll on the first day of school, she'll call out Tiger. And when she applies for jobs and gets a drivers license, she'll be using Tiger.

I don't see the point in naming her Tiger and then calling her Lily. Why not just name her Lily?

Hippies Stink!

Title notwithstanding (hello, my name is Obnoxious), I really like those names. They are a little bit hippy and matchy (Luna and Moon) but I still think they're pretty.

I guess Tiger Lily is a little bad what with Peter Pan, but I think it's neat.
