I've settled on Reagan.
I'm having a few problems with a middle name.

The middle names I'm really thinking about(I really LOVE all of them):
~Reagan Madison **One of my favorites
*possible problems: Two presidents. I really don't mean for Madison especially to be because of James Madison. I just like the name Madison and I like it with Reagan.

~Reagan Addison **One of my favorites
*possible problems: Her initials will be RAT. Does that matter?

~Reagan Marie-Addison **One of my favorites
*possible problems: When you say "Reagan Marie-Addison Taylor" - it kind of sounds like Addison is the last name at first before you hear Taylor. So- I don't know if I'm much of a two middle name type of person.. but it's still very cute to me.

~Reagan Marie
*I think many first names are cute with Marie. If I have another daughter what if I like Marie better with the name I want for her?

~Reagan Lyn
*My middle name is Lynn. I don't know if I want to kind of name my daughter after me.

Thoughts on which sounds better? Any other suggestions for a middle name for Reagan?

I agree. Initials that spell something neutral, like NEW, are fine, but RAT isn't neutral.

I knew a NEW! and a JAW. heehee. my cousin is LAH and it fits her nicely, I think (if you sing it). my niece is ASN but if my sister does marry the baby's dad, she will get his last name and be ASS. and yes, they thought about this before hand. she wouldnt budge from Adrianna and he wouldn't budge from Samantha but my sister hated Samantha so she stuck it in the middle.

but initials can also be acronyms, not words. my kids are GED and LCD.

i agree. my parents didn't think much about my initials i imagine. i was initially RAK (and blessed w/ a large chest) which got a lot of comments and now i am RAG. so great... :P

think of all the combos once she gets married, too...

Would any middle name that doesn't start with a vowel be safe inital wise?

Don't do RAT.

I grew up LAB, and even that was kind of embarrasing.

I don't really think of initals that much.. but if LAB is a problem I definately want to stay away from RAT.. thanks! :)

you wouldn't think it would be a problem, but "so are you black, yellow or chocolate?" made the 6th grade... a living hell.

my initials are BJ...that was always fun! people will eventually notice....

my cousin's daughter's initials are LEG. that probably isn't bad, but i still think of legs all the time when i think of her fullname.

my initials before marriage were SKM. it always made me think of scum.

I'd avoid any "A" or "O" middle name... people WILL pick up on little "RAT" or "ROT"

I think Reagan Lyn sounds best. And def don't go with RAT. Addison doesn't sound great with it, anyway.

Reagan Marie sounds the best IMO.

I think it would by nice for you to share your middle name with your daughter. I share my middle name with my mum and I like it. I plan on doing the same if I have a daughter. So, I like Reagan Lynn because it is, meaningful. Also, apart from Reagan Marie, the other middle names don't flow very well.

I would definitely6 not use a last-name sounding name as a middle name or it'll sound like she has a hyphenated last name. or in this case, 3 last names and no first name! definitely go with something girly and not last-namey, like marie or lyn.

The only one I like is Reagan Marie. Madison, Addison, and Lyn just sound bad with Reagan because they end in the same sound. The hyphonated middle name is weird and unnecessary and when you say it, it definitely sounds like it would be Reagan Marie Addison-Taylor.

If you really like the name Addison, you could go for Reagan Addison Marie? I like Reagan Madison, but I can see where you're coming from. :o/ Reagan Lyn is really pretty too.

I vote for Reagan Marie or Reagan Lynn.

Reagan Madison is TOO trendy, TOO cutesy, and TOO little girlish. Also VERY masculine sounding, considering it's two male names. Addison is too trendy sounding again.

I think you need a classic feminine middle name. Marie is nice, or what about...

I don't like any of these. Addison/Madison are too trendy. Marie and Lyn are fillers. I guess I'd pick Lyn because it at least honors you.

How are you pronouncing Reagan? Ray-gan? I've only ever known someone who had it as 'Ree-gan'... much prettier sounding to me, but *shrug*.

Reagan Madison is okay. Madison is such a popular name I highly doubt upon first hearing it, very many people will think of the president. But I can't say, because I'm Canadian and never even heard of Madison, lol.

The only reason I think people with think of the president is because Reagan was also a president. Eep. Plus it might have had something to do with my boyfriend bringing it to my attention the other night.
