Is Felix too...nerdy-sounding?

Also, I like the name Shiloh. Is it too soon, what with Brad and Angelina's daughter named that a few years back? The only MNs I can come up with for it are Shiloh Sydney Ward & Shiloh Elise Ward. WDYT? Any other suggestions?

I don't think it's too nerdy sounding at all. It does reminds me of cats, but that isn't so bad.

yea, it was sort of a harsh moment of realization because my partner and I read the name together at the same time in a baby name book, and we both love it which is a rare occasion. then it hit us - brangelina. Damn. we still may use it; we're not into all that pop culture celebrity hype so we don't really care...

I really like the suggestion Shiloh Renee. Renee is my partner's MN, so I don't know why we hadn't considered it. Thanks though :)

I think Felix is great. My brain is dead as to middle names right now, but I'll comment back if I think of any.

I will always think of Shiloh as being a male name so I guess I won't be using it. (It's never been high on my list anyway.)

Felix is one of my very favorite names--I don't think it's too nerdy at all. The combinations I have considered for it are Felix Grey, Felix Aaron and Felix James.

I also really like Shiloh, although I plan on using it as a middle name (Eve Shiloh is our current combination). Shiloh Elise is really nice.

I like either of your Shiloh combos as well. As for the "brangelina" reference...who cares really. If this is the name you love then go for it. I don't think it's a huge deal to have the same name as a celebrity. Sometimes there's no avoiding it. You might name your child a certain name and THEN a celebrity might use it!
my favorite girls name is Valentina, and there is a celebrity child with that name, too. Oh well. I heard it on a random person first and loved it. A while later Salma Hayek had a Valentina.

I like Felix, though I do think it is a little nerdy (and makes me think of the cartoon cat). I think it would be really cute on a kid able to "own it"- if that makes any sense. ^^;

Shiloh will forever make me think of the dog from the children's novel by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. Brangelina's kid comes after.

Shiloh has had other siblings added so I don't think anyone will be thinking of her. Zahara would probably be too soon in that respect but Shiloh is old news after the arrival of biological twins
