I'm always amused that people show such vitriol toward the Duggars -- ironically most of the people who do so think that Jon and Kate + 8 are the most awesome family ever. At least the Duggers didn't use fertility drugs, and their large family is in accordance with their spiritual beliefs.

Most people who object to the Duggars do so because they feel that increasing the human population by having large families is harmful to society and the earth at large. Within that paradigm, having a large family via natural means should be less of an infraction than someone who purposefully took fertility drugs to have multiple sets of twins per pregnancy.

I don't cater to this ideology, I'm merely pointing out that those who object to the Duggars as "insane" for environmentalist reasons should object to Jon and Kate more -- but they usually don't because Jon and Kate are young and hip (not of the traditional Christian variety).

i think that in general, they did a better job than the duggar family did, but i also find most of them to be quite boring.
