How horrible does Asher Sheffield sound? I'm due in June with my 3rd baby and have been told that the baby is probably a boy. Asher is the only boy name that I really love. I've liked it since high school, long before I knew my husband's last name would also have the "sh" sound in it. :(

Date: 2010-01-12 05:59 pm (UTC)We have a similar issue. I love the name Henry but my husband's last name is Reece, so a future boy would be Henry Reece...most people don't seem to think it's a problem but the repeated "ree" sound in the middle makes me a little meh on the combination. In fact, my first name ends in -ry and that's part of the reason why I didn't take my husband's last name when we got married!
