I can't remember if I have asked this before here, but it was awhile ago if I did, so I'm curious.

What do you think of Dahlia?

It's one of those names that I like but would never use myself... not really my style, but it's pretty and I like seeing it on other people.

My first thought is of The Black Dahlia Murders.

The name is okay. I wouldn't use it, though.

Very pretty! I never really considered it until a friend of mine named her daughter that last year.

I like it but I wouldn't use it. To me it's prettier on paper than in practice. How are you pronouncing it? People seem to pronounce it both ways (with a short "a" and with the "ah" sound). I grew up pronouncing it Dal-ee-uh but now I hear people saying it more like Dahl-ya.

My mom pronounces it like "Dale-ya." I'm so confused as to the actual pronounciation of this name!

It totally fits the new trend of flower names without being used. I also went to high school in the early 90s with a Dahlia. I say it's a good name.

I actually like it... but I'm also a major Silent Hill (video game) fan, and there's a woman called Dahlia on that game, so... maybe I'm a little biased. :P *dork*

I love it! It's one of my favourite flower names, along with Lily and Magnolia.

I absolutely love it, and it would be on our list if I could get my husband to love it too. I keep going back and forth between Dalia, which is the traditional Jewish spelling, and Dahlia, which I think I slightly prefer. Either spelling, it's just plain lovely. :)

Normally I dislike the letter H (I don't know why, but i generally do not like the letter when it's not being used - th, ph, sh and ch does not apply) but in this case I like it better with the H

I like it a lot but I've heard many different pronouncations and I think it's just too confusing to actually use.
