I live in a really small town. I've been saving up the birth announcements for awhile. There are only 3. Lol

Carter John Alexander
Payton Olivia
Gabbie Rae

I actually like all of them. Carter John would always remind me of Carter from ER though. Gabbie Rae is cute, I would have gone with Gabrielle, but its not bad.

i also need opinions on possible boy names.

Tristan Layne
Trathan Layne I love the names Tratha and Trista for girls, but there is already a Tratha in the family and a close friend is Trista.

So...2 questions. Is Trathan too made up sounding?
Also, Layne/Lane is in memory of Layne Staley and Lane Frost who both died very young. Do you think its bad luck to name a baby after someone like that?

Trathan is unbelievably made up sounding. That's pretty bad. Tristan Layne sounds the best. No, I don't think it's bad luck. My middle name is Layne after a woman in a wheelchair - which isn't the same as dying, but I think names are just names, they have no luck attached.

If you want to go with Layne/Lane, I would suggest dropping the 'y' and just going with Lane.

yeah. i did think afterwards if we went with Tristan i should drop the Y. (as apposed to say Robert Layne)

I think Tristan Layne sounds the best. Spelling-wise, isn't Layne the feminine spelling? Every time I see this name on a boy, it's spelled Lane, so I think that's the one I'd go with.

No, I don't think it's bad luck, but then I don't really believe in bad/good luck.

Trathan definitely sounds made-up and...it sounds ugly, imo. :(
