A relative has decided if she has a girl, she will name it Wylan (pn: Why-lynn). This name comes from combining her two sons' names-Wyatt (1 yr) and Landon (3 yrs).

That's got to be the worst idea ever. Why would someone do that? It's like, we love your brothers so much we're going to name you after them, and you'll never have the chance but to live in the shadow of your siblings cause they are awesome and you are some sort of after thought.

Seriously, I really don't get the logic here. It'd be one thing if those were, idk, her grandfathers (though I still think Wylon is a horrid name, particularly for a girl), but her brothers? WTF?

Never mind the fact that it's unfair to use that method to come up with the name; the name makes me think of Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots. Honestly, Wylan sounds like it could be a legit name--but for a boy, not a girl! What is wrong with people? (no offense, I know she's your relative)
