My Mother passed away, and I'd like to honor her with my future child's name.
Her name was Patricia, which I don't like enough to use as a first name, so here are the names I really like paired with it, which sound best?

Ava Patricia
Erin Patricia
Julianna Patricia
Ella Patricia

Eve Patricia
Grace Patricia
Abigail Patricia
MadelinePatricia
Norah Patricia
Lucy Patricia
Olivia Patricia
Catherine Patricia (Catherine was my grandmother)
Emma Patricia
Lily Patricia

Amelia Patricia
Reese Patricia
Natalie Patricia
Harper Patricia
Charlotte Patricia
Adele Patricia
Claire Patricia
Rose Patricia (Rosemarie is my Aunt who raised me after my mother passed)
Emily Patricia

the ONE that stands out the best to me, and that i happen to adore, is Avery Patricia. I'm sorry for your loss, and that is so great to want to honor your mother in your little girl :)

I agree completely. Avery is not a name that usually makes my short list, but I *love* it with Patricia.

Catherine Patricia is good, too, but I might be biased, since Catherine is my favorite girls name ever :)

I like:

Madeline Patricia
Catherine Patricia
Elizabeth Patricia
Adele Patricia

What about Patrice? I don't know if you want to use the exact name but I think Patrice would sound lovely with a lot of these names that end in a. Like Ava Patrice, Norah Patrice, Emma Patrice, Julianna Patrice, etc.

I like most of the combos that do not have first names ending with an 'a.' My favorites are Catherine Patricia and Avery Patricia.

we are doing the same thing. i lost my mom almost 6 years ago, and our first daughters middle name will be colleen, which was her name. i love the name, and my husband has suggested using it as a first name (because he loves it too) but i just think that would be pretty wierd, you know? calling after my daughter colleen? it would just feel strange.

i think these are almost all really great, honestly. patricia goes really nicely with just about anything.

my favorites:

ava
lily
emma
catherine
olivia
lucy
madeline
erin
grace
amelia
emily

ahhh! my middle name is patricia and it's after my mother! i love the idea of you wanting to honor your mother, it's very sweet.. and i love my name, laura patricia :)

out of your combinations, i really love:
emma patricia
norah patricia
olivia patricia
ava patricia
lily patricia

i think it flows best paired with a shorter name.

Hmm...just tossing another suggestion into the ring...if you don't like Patricia in its entirety as a first name, how about Tricia or some other variation? That way it's still a tribute to your mom, but not the same exact name, if you follow...
