and they named her Josie Brooklyn. I hate Brooklyn (It's my sister's name) but I love Josie.

And incase you went 'What? Already?' like I did. She was born early.

I guess the gallstones or whatever was wrong with her was worse than they thought...I really hope this shows her she needs to STOP, I mean, wasn't she only, like 8 months pregnant?

I hate hate hate hate hate Brooklyn. It's probably because all the low class "gangsta" wannabes that I went to school with have either named their kids Brooklyn or Jazmyne.

I really like Josie. Brooklyn, enh, but as a middle it is less obnoxious. I would have preferred to see Josie Brooke or Josie Lynn. What a bummer that the baby was born so early. :(

My goodness, 25 weeks? I hope the baby is OK! As for the name, Josie is a bit cutesy, but it's way better than Jinger of Jedediah. Josie Brooklyn is actually a nice combo, though NMS.

Josie is okay but I much prefer it as a nickname for Josephine. Brooklyn is not my style but as a whole I like the name SO much better than the last one (Jordyn-Grace Makiya).

Every once in awhile they'll do the normal name thing and I'm like, what? how did you come up with Jessa before Jennifer? Or Jinger before Josie? It always comes back to Jinger though, lol. How did anybody think of that before anything else?

I think I hate it. I wouldn't use either of them, but I've seen worse.

I like Josie (but prefer Josephine). Brooklyn is not my style, but it could be so much worse.

Best wishes for the poor baby.

What the others said. Josie is cute and Josephine is better. Brooklyn is fine, just not my style.

Poor baby! I'm so sorry to hear that she came so early... I bet she can make it. I was due in April and born in January, and I also weighed a little over one pound. That was in the mid '60s. I've got a lot of faith in Josie pulling through and having a long life. I also gave birth in my early forties, to twins that were healthy. There's definitely a chance that the Duggars could have other births without these complications, but my body ages slower than the norm and everyone is different.

I know a baby that was born five months early in Oct 2007 and weighed less than a pound and now she's a happy and healthy toddler. It's extremely possible to pull through.

I love Josie and Brooklyn isn't horrible, just not my taste.

as much as I dislike the Duggars and do think that maybe this woman's body (due to age, amount of children she already has, etc) is telling her 'hello, you need to stop making me go through this' I just hope the baby is well and as strong as it can be to pull through this =(

Now, on to the names... Josie... eh nickname-ish and hate Brooklyn by now... but it's not that bad I just see it popping up everywhere.

Josie is okay. Like Everyone else said I think it makes a lovely nickname for Josephine. On it's own it's kinda meh.
Brooklyn is AWFUL! I hate it, but at least it's not spelled Brooklynne.

I like Josie (as a nn) but where the hell did Brooklyn come from? It just doesn't seem... Duggar-y.

Neither does Jordyn and Makiya. Their style has been changing gradually; the younger the child the more modern and trendy the name. Unfortunately, they don't do modern and trendy right.

I hate Brooklyn. I grew up in Brooklyn (WI) this tiny little town. I don't hate the town itself, I just don't like it as a nice. I never liked Brooke though either.

Brooklyn is so tacky, but Josie is very cute, if incomplete. I have to admit, though, the name is much better than Jordyn-Grace Makiya, of all things. That name still makes me cringe.

I hope Mom and Baby are all right.

I really like the name Josie.

Although I would personally take this as a sign to stop trying to have children, I doubt the Duggars will since they firmly believe that every child is conceived through God's will.

Needless to say, I really do hope that she and the baby will be okay. My little brother was born four months early as well, and he is here today, so I hope little Josie will make it through!
