(no subject)

Tossing around the name Zoe Lane (read ZO-ee, not Zo) for a possible future daughter. I'm just not sure how I'd like to spell Lane.

Zoe Lane
Zoe Laine
Zoe Layne
Zoe Lain
Zoe Layn

so far, Zoe Lane and Zoe Laine are my top choices. What do you guys think?

Also.. what about Ainsley Brynn?

Laine or Layne, I think. DEFINITELY not the last two (ew).

Ainsley is pretty, but I think it would be nice while she'll little, but too cutesy for an adult.

I suggest you watch a bit of Noggin first, there's an annoying show called 64 Zoo Lane, and that's the first thing I thought of when I saw it.

I'm 16 years old and love that show :]

Ah! That show drives me insane, lmao.

I really like Zoe Lane, which suprises me, 'cause it doesn't seem like something I would normally like. But I also like Laine, because it's more of a name.. like... that I've seen before. So it seems less Penny Lane and more like a real name, if that makes any sense. But I agree with you on Lane and Laine--I don't like the y's being traded for i's in most names.

Also, I like Zoe Lane/Laine much better than Ainsley Brynn.

Layne is my favorite spelling. I love both of those names!!! :)

I like Zoe Lane alot. Yeah, lane just spelled lane is my favourite.

I love the name Brynn, I really dont like the name Ainsley.

Laine or Lane...the other ones look made up.

Definitely love the name, though.

[identity profile] luliriisi.livejournal.com 2006-06-28 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I like Zoe Laine.

Is Ainsley Brynn for a girl too? Because Bryn is a Welsh boys' name... I dunno, it could be a girl's name as well (I don't have my baby name book right now so I can't check).
But if you don't live in Wales, then I guess it doesn't matter if you name a girl Bryn. No one will be able to tell it's a boy's name. I love the way it sounds either way. ;)

Zoe Laine.

I don't like Ainsley Brynn. Too trendy.

Zoe Laine.

I like Brynn... not really Ainsley though.

Lane!

I really like Brynn : )
I don't really like Ainsley tho.

[identity profile] x-lostinyou.livejournal.com 2006-06-28 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Ainsley Brynn is okay sounding, but far too trendy for my taste.

I think Lane is generally the most accepted spelling.

[identity profile] x-lostinyou.livejournal.com 2006-06-28 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Annesley is similar to Ainsley, but less trendy, just for your info...

[identity profile] poespretty.livejournal.com 2006-06-29 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
I like Brynn. I like Ainsley but only in theory. I don't think I could actually see it on a kid.

I like Zoe. but not so much w/Lane. but if you are dead set on it, I'd use the Lane spelling.

[identity profile] 2thirteen.livejournal.com 2006-06-29 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Are you a Staind fan perchance?

[identity profile] 2thirteen.livejournal.com 2006-06-29 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
His daughter is "Zoe Jane"
I thought it was Zoe Lane but I was wrong ;)

[identity profile] glitterberrys.livejournal.com 2006-06-29 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I like Ainsley Brynn and Zoey Laine/Lane. I like both of those spellings, actually.

[identity profile] arbus.livejournal.com 2006-06-30 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
i agree with you, either zoe lane, or zoe laine. really nice name.

[identity profile] krosp.livejournal.com 2006-07-01 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
I'd spell it Lane or Laine too.

I don't really get the name Lane. Zoe means 'life' and sounds pretty. Lane just means lane, it's like picking a random English word, like calling her Zoe Street. Lots of people seem to like it though, I just don't get why. But it sounds alright and you seem to be preferring the nicer spellings :)
