I love Murphy so much! And to add to your pop culture reference above, Murphy makes me think of Boondock Saints, which is awesome imo, and Bridget makes me think of Gingersnaps, which is also awesome imo.

Arrgghh! No! It didn't open anywhere near me. But, I live in Arkansas, so when films are put on a limited release, they always manage to skip my entire state.

When the first round of release came out, I was like, WTF is this, but they opened it up a bit more on the 17th. And they're supposed to do more, according to Wiki. Not saying that's reliable at all, but I'd keep checking if I were you!
