1) Kairi "Ocean village" [Japanese origin]

2) Kaia "Pure" [Greek], "Echo" [I forget the language forgive me :( ]

3) Kaiemi "Ebbing sea" [Hawaiian]

4) Kailani "The sea and the sky" [Hawaiian]

Gosh I love Hawaiian names. Feel free to suggest similar names. Pronunciations can likely be found at babynamesworld.com.

I like Kaia the best, with a Kailani a close second.

I know a Kailani, and it just suits her so well. I think out of those, I like Kaia that best though.

I vote Kaia for 1st choice, Kailani for 2nd choice. Kaiemi and Kairi are both too prone to spelling/pronunciation difficulties.

Are you looking middle name suggestions? Kaia Leilani would be very pretty, and allow you to use a Hawaiian name (I believe Leilani means 'heavenly flower.')

Kaia, but it might get confused with Kya "diamond sky" [African]

Kairi might be confused with Kyrie, unless it's Kah-EE-ree, but then it would have the "eerie" sound in it.

I'm not big on Hawaiian names.

I like Kailani but are you sure of the meaning because as far as I know Lani means heaven but then that can sometimes get confused with sky.

Kailani, because it's close to Kalani (which is a popular Hawai'ian (mostly) boy's name I love).
