that's a really funny article in general-- though kinda bogus, makes some interesting points to think about.
in regards to the argument about creative names- it might hold true when normal names are the norm- but what about when it's the norm to have a unique name? it's one thing when there was one rose among a whole school full of sarahs, johns, katies, etc. but when there are a couple of roses, a few violets, and an aspen? what then?
it's fun to guess what will be in and out when this generation comes to maturity.. or at least pre-adolesence- to know how they will percieve their names and the names of others.

Malcolm and Ivan are original?! lol.

Dicksmash McIroncock, on the other hand, is truly unique.

Those top ten bad boy names are really bizarre, though. I mean, half of them seem like nerdy names that you'd associate with a kid who gets picked on. Ernest? PRESTON? Huh?

Seriously! I once had a teacher who was embarrassed to tell us his middle name because it was nerdy.. it was Preston! We were almost disappointed that it wasn't that bad haha.

While I agree with the principle, I really don't see how Malcolm, Alec, Luke, or Walter are considered weird. Walter might be a little prissy, but not weird.

There was a study done and those names came up as the most likely to be a criminal.
