Your Children and Future Children
Nov. 12th, 2009 01:21 amWhat are your kids' names? What are your future kids' names? If you're not sure, just pick the name you would use if you had a baby right now (even if you know you would change your mind later). Feel free to choose multiple names in case of multiple children. You can include reasons if you'd like, or just list the names. Also, assume that your husband/boyfriend or wife/girlfriend doesn't get to veto your future names - pick whatever you personally like.
I don't have any kids, but I know already I would like two kids someday, preferably a girl and a boy. However, I also know that life doesn't always work out that way, so I'll choose two boys' names and two girls' names just in case.
I am already sure of my boys names. Girls are a little harder for some reason.
Boys:
Noel Philip
Julian Charles
Girls:
Again I'm not sure but these are the names I would choose if I found out I was giving birth tomorrow (LOL, scary thought).
Rosemary Kathryn
Evelyn Pearl
I have loved the names Noel and Julian for years. The only thing I'm uncertain about is whether I would spell it Julian or Julien (I think I prefer it with an A though). Charles is one of my favorite boys names, along with one of my best friends' names. Philip is a family name - my great-grandfather and grandfather's first names and my father's middle.
Rosemary and Evelyn are classic names that have cute nicknames - Rosie/Rose and Evie. I also like Rosemary because Mary is my boyfriend's mom's name and assuming we end up having kids together, it would be a nice tribute to her. Kathryn is my mom's name. Pearl is just a name I love, but wouldn't want to use as a first name.
How about you?

Date: 2009-11-12 09:53 pm (UTC)For girls, I'm not sure, either. I love a lot of girl's names. Alexandra is my number one right now. I also really like Katherine, Tabitha, Lucy, Layla, Calandra, Gwendolyn, and lots more. Don't really have any particular middles picked out for them.

Date: 2009-11-13 12:00 am (UTC)Gideon Samuel Nathan
Benjamin Zev Matthew
Isaac Nicholas Finch
Judah Benjamin Irving
Eva Mathilde Jane
Zivia Alice Paige
Alice Daphna Iris
Olive Imogen Kathryn(or just Kate)
We can't really decide on one, although if I was a betting person I'd wager the boy's name would include Benjamin (either as a first or as Judah Benjamin) and not Isaac since my husband often waffles on the name Isaac as being to wimpy. I'd also bet on Alice, in one form or another, as being our girl front-runner. And haha, don't believe the numbers in our list; we don't really want 8 kids, more like 3...Or maybe 4. ;)

Date: 2009-11-13 12:39 am (UTC)If I were to have kids right this second, then the choices would be:
Ariana Winter or Valerie Pearl
Aidan Michael or Loren David
I know that Aidan's not exactly popular 'round these parts, but I've loved it for a really long time. Michael would be for my dad and brother. Loren is just a name I happen to really like, but David is after my grandfather, whose middle name is David.
Ariana Winter would sorta be after a character in a book series I love (her name's Arya, from Winterfell), but it also looks and sounds really pretty to me. Valerie Pearl... I just really like those names. :)

Date: 2009-11-13 05:01 am (UTC)We've been discussing TTC again soon so names have been brought up. A girl would probably be Amelia. A boy would be Everett or Asher.

Date: 2009-11-13 09:35 pm (UTC)Girls:
Karina Juniper (the Indian spelling is 'Kareena' but Karina is more widely accepted.)
Ishani
Boys: (I hate boys names!)
Jay
I'd probably marry out of race, so middle names are free, but I figure, if I'm passing something that weighs as much as a bowling ball through my pelvis, why give my future husband veto power? He can suck it up, unless I'm naming a kid Gertrude. But yeah, Karina Juniper is my absolute favorite.
