A girl I know has decided to name her daughter Snow.

Not really my style... but fair enough, I thought to myself.

Then she said the middle name... Angel.

My husband doesn't think it's THAT weird, but all I can think of is running outside and making angels in the snow during winter break. "Hey, do you want to make some snow angels, Snow Angel?" I realize most people never use their middle name, but still...

I wouldn't use it (but I would consider Snow as a middle name), but it does make me smile.

Haha, I like snow angels too! The name just seems like waaay too much cutesy for my liking, though. :)

GP = guilty pleasure, so in other words I really like it, and I like seeing it used, but I don't think I could use it myself.

It *is* cutesy, and normally that would bother me, but the imagery is so nice that I'm willing to let it slide. ;D

I think teasing potential is low because a snow angel is pretty much only a good thing. However it sounds dumb and like a stripper or a puppy (as someone mentioned above). Neither Snow nor Angel are my style, however they are fine names as long as they are paired with something that's not another noun!

I think Snow is pretty, HOWEVER, from a psychological POV, it's way too close to the word "no" so as a baby that's going to send a lot of really confusing signals.

I thought Snow White when I heard it. It's kinda icky, IMO. That and imagining calling a child downstairs or something, like when a parent might use the full name. "Snow Angel, you get down here right now and pick up your toys." I couldn't do it. LOL!

Actually, I kind of like it. Which is weird because it's not my usual style at all. But the more I think about Snow the more I like it, and I think Snow Angel is sort of a cute little private joke, since not many people are going to hear the middle name or make the connection if they do.

Otherwise, I'm at a loss. Snow Angel? Snow is sort of pretty, but with Angel it's just tacky tacky tacky. It sounds like the name of a doll--not a human child who will someday be a grown woman.
