too matchey for me. though I kind of like Lelani... I don't know if it's my style, personally, but I think it's a cute name.

i dont like how either of those are spelt, i prefer leilani and leila but thats different prounonciations though.
but both of them are cute names(your set). its just not my thing to have such similiar names.

It's spelled Leilani (usually, but you know how people do)- it's a Hawai'ian name.
I kind of like Leilani, but don't care much for Lyla. I agree, too matchy.

I don't like Lyla at all. I don't care for the more traditional spellings very much either.

I think Leilani is one of the cutest names ever, but as it is very Hawaiian, I couldn't see myself using it.

yep. Leilani is Hawaiian. I have a friend with this name. Of course, she is 100% Hawaiian.
I prefer Lila. Lyla reminds me of Lyle, which I don't like due to associations.

Leilani was almost my daughter's name. Lyla I don't like. Really don't like Y. And as a set? Horrible. Just because they are WAY too similar. I hate that.

One of my good friends named her daughter Lelanie (leh-lan-ee). Her family is Mexican and some of them were teasing her that they would call her the little Denali (aka a GMC car).
