is it Im-oh-jin
or
Im-oh-gen (g like green)

and where is the stress?

eta: I thought it was pronounced the first way but babynamespedia tells me it is pronounced the second way.

Your source is wrong, as far as I know. I've never heard it pronounced with a hard g.

I say it like im OH jihn. Stress on the second syllable.

I always have said "Im-oh-jeen," kind of like you're saying the word gene or Jean. I say this because my sister's grandmother was Emogen and we always said "Em-oh-jeen."

IM-uh-jen. Or IM-uh-jin, it's almost impossible to distinguish when saying it aloud, although it might depend on the speaker's accent. I've never heard it pronounced with a hard g, or a soft j like in French. I have, however, heard it pronounced something like 'IM-uh-jeen' though I think that's more common when spelling it 'Imogene.'

IM-oh-jun, with the stress on the first syllable, is the only way I've ever heard it pronounced. Every Imogen I've ever known (which, to be fair, is only 3 or something) has pronounced it this way.

I say Imogen im-oh-gen, equally emphasis on each syllable. It if is Imogene, I say em-oh-jean, with a softish "J" sound, and slightly more emphasis on the last syllable.

Much prefer Imogen, love love love this name.
