So we had the "what names were ruined for you" post earlier. Now I'm wondering what names you guys love BECAUSE of the people who have them?

For me, I love love love Jesse Levi. I've known this particular Jesse for about three and a half years. He's pretty much my idea of the raddest guy in the world. We're not so close anymore, but I would defintely name my kid this, and would have high hopes that he would turn out just like his namesake.

I have a room-mate "Jesse" and he's also an amazing guy, "Jesse Levi" is a beautiful name!

When it comes to names I love because of other people who have them, I'd have to say "Amber/Ambre", two of the sweetest girls I've ever known (one had creative-spelling parents, haha), and because of them I just adore the name.

Hazel - my great aunt who died last year.
Luke, Mark, Benjamin - all good friends of mine.
Any girls name with the nn Em - a good friend of mine, and an adoreable little girl I look after.
I also know a pretty cool Jesse, and I love the name! It's at the top of my list!

We first started really loving the name Owen after my husband met a man named Owen who sort of became his mentor and inspiration to choose the career path that he did. My husband keeps saying that we're naming our son after him.. lol, we're really not. That's just where we first began to like the name, and since it has a positive connection for us as well, that's what we're naming our son! =)

The name we gave smallclanger belongs to one of the coolest people I ever met at primary school; he emailed me after smallclanger's birth to offer congratulations and talk about the name, and he was just as nice as he'd been 20 years earlier, so I figured it was a good choice, karma-wise. :) My husband also has a name that has only ever belonged to cool people in my experience - it was like a huge sign that I should get to know him!

I also really like Laura, Miranda, Peter, and Graham because I've never met a nasty person by those names.

You know, none especially. I love all my friends but i don't really like any of their names!
I know a very cool person called Jessica, & since it's not typically a name in the style i like It might have something to do with her.
Brendan, actually. But maybe i like the guy more because he has a cool name :-p

I love the name Benjamin because all the Ben's I've met are extremely awesome...I'm also a huge Ben Folds and Ben Kweller fan.

I love the name Benjamin as well, but unfortunately we can never use it.. =/ Our last name is Dunn.. and well "Ben Dunn" [it's already 'Been Dunn' etc etc... jokes galore] lol
