Hey guys. Just read an article about Billy Burke, who plays Charlie in the Twilight movies, and he mentioned he has a baby daughter (I believe she's 15 months) named Bluesy LaRue. WDYT? It's pretty cutesy.
Personally, I like the name because of the movie Moulin Rouge: the lyrics to one of the songs in the soundtrack quote "Princesse de la rue", possibly referring to Satine, who is a performer/courtesan (old-fashioned for stripper/prostitute).
And then you might ask "Where the heck is the appeal about naming your child a stripper name?", but to that I have no rational answers :P Just a handful of artistic ones!
It's cute, in that the whole thing sounds like a blues/jazz singer from the 20s, but it shouldn't be an actual name. I don't really have anything against LaRue, I probably wouldn't use it, but I think it sounds kind of pretty.

Date: 2009-11-06 01:30 am (UTC)LaRue is weird. Doesn't one of Demi Moore/Bruce Willis have the name LaRue? I just can't see "the street" being appealing as a name. I don't get it.
