What is the absolute WORST baby name you've ever heard? You can only pick one (two at most if you just can't decide).

For me, it has to be Diezel. My step-sister (who I've never met) named her baby that. I forget what his middle name was, but I saw his picture at my dad's house one day. A picture of a cute little blonde newborn, named DIEZEL. YUCK! They were thinking of naming him Thor before settling on this terrible name.

Wow, Diezel & Thor are both pretty awful...
I don't know if there's one name in particular that I don't like, but when I see names that you KNOW aren't real names and people totally just made them up to give their kid some unique name... and you know there's no way in hell that anyone's going to know how to pronounce it unless they're told. THOSE names drive me nuts.

I feel the same way. Let's just try to ride this trend out. That and giving old names (or any name, for that matter) "yooneake" spellings. When will that end?!

My friend was telling me the other day about her boyfriend's nephew being named Cruxifixia (not sure how it's spelled). They call him Cross for short. How cruel.

That reminds me. My friend knows someone who named their baby Draven (as in Eric Draven from "The Crow") Reznor (as in Trent Reznor).

I posted this response to the last entry about horrible names.

I had a friend in high school whose cousin was born on Thanksgiving so her parents gave her the first name of Happy and the middle name of Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving. Happy had a baby and she named him Josh after her brother but then gave him the middle name "Mr.Bubbles." I kid you not.

I agree Diezel does suck-but I have a newphew named Nyzel and I think thats cute- we call him Nelly for short. ( I guess it depends if you pronounce it Die-zel or deez-el... We pronounce Nyzel... Ny (like my) zel. Interesting.
