I was at the store tonight. My cashier was probably in his late teeens or early 20s. His name?

Kamel.

I can only assume it's pronounced kuh MELL, and not CAM uhl.

Ha!. I never even realised the whole Camel thing until after you pointed it out. I automatically pronounced it Ka-meal.

I've heard of Kamil as a name before.

And yeah, even though I know it's not pronounced the same as camel, it's one of those names that makes me smile to myself. :)
