Nov. 3rd, 2009 04:07 amOne of the girls I work with just found out she is pregnant. She told me today the names she has picked out: Nathaniel Graham William and Elizabeth Roseann Dawn. She told me that all the boy names are family names on her boyfriend's side, and so is Elizabeth. Roseann is the middle name of the baby's godmother, and Dawn is for her good friend. WDYT? Also, name heard on tv: Pierrette. I don't really care for it; sounds like pirouette everytime I hear it. By the way, I'm very sorry if this is a hard-to-read wall of text; I'm typing this on my cell so it's hard to make it look good lol.

Date: 2009-11-03 01:28 pm (UTC)I am not a fan of more than one middle name, but I realize that this is a tradition in some parts of the country/ world and in some families, so there's nothing wrong with it- I just would not do it.
I love Elizabeth- Classic- BUT I have a bad association with it and could NEVER use it because Elizabeth is my husband's ex wife. Shame, since it's a good middle name for almost anything, and it was also my grandmother's middle name.
Not fond of Roseann or Dawn, but there's nothing wrong with them.
Graham and William are okay.
overall, not bad names, but I am not a fan of any of them except Nathaniel, and not really a fan of them together like that. I'd prefer just Nathaniel William. Or Elizabeth something else. But hey, it's not my kid ;)

Date: 2009-11-03 03:41 pm (UTC)I love Elizabeth (though I may be a little biased there--it's my name!). Dawn is nice, at least as a middle. Roseann does make me think of the hideous Roseanne Barr, which is a shame because it's a lovely name. I can deal with it as a middle.
