Some girls I've met recently and people I know from school. All of these people are between 18 and 21 years old.

female:

* Passley - pronounced exactly how it's spelled. Kind of weird, and I'm pretty sure people call her "paisley" by accident all the time.
* Sarielle - I liked this until I heard her pronounce it. Sounds like "cereal" to me. So ugly.
* Mairead (may-red)
* Raya
* Mieke (MEEK-ah)
* Jazmine
* Khrystyn - yes, really.
* Darcy
* Sage

male:

* Leopoldo
* Niles Pierce
* Dashell

Passley is really odd, and Khrystyn is terrible! I love Mairead, but that's not how it's pronounced... is that how she pronounced it? Niles Pierce is really cool, too.

I've only heard it said ma-RAYD. Both in real life and by seeing the pronunciation written (by Irish people).

Niles Pierce sounds so snooty, and it's kind of awesome.

He IS awesome. Pierce is his middle name and Stanley is his last name. It suits him really well because he's very chill and unassuming so it's fun that he has such a snooty, English name.

I like Mieke a lot, and Sage is okay. I'm fond of Niles, although I prefer Miles.

Passley is really bad, and so is Khrystyn. That's just... wow.

I want to hate Passley, but she's the sweetest girl ever - I work with her and she's so funny and has the cutest southern accent. It's tough to hate it!

I don't understand how Mieke is supposed to be pronounced MEEK-ah. Ugh. Khrystyn is quite trashy.

Mieke is Dutch, like Anneke (AHN-eh-kah) and Marieke (ma-REE-kah)
