Wilder

An acquaintance of mine is a guy named Wilder. Yes, that is his first name. It is pronounced like the adjective wild, as in wilder and crazier than you.

It actually works really well on him, but I was wondering what people with a non-biased opinion thought.

Wilder is a construction company that has a buncha hot guys working for them and we call them "the wilder boys" LOL... so i prob couldn't take it serious.

i'm not a huge fan, but it's okay. it was semi-recently used by kate hudson's brother for his son. he named him wilder brooks, which is a little too much for me.

I think I would probably assume it had been a family name, the way surnames are sometimes used as middle names.

It never occurred to me before, but it's actually kind of amusing even as a surname haha.

It made me think of people I knew with the surname first, before I thought of the fact that it's 'wild'. I guess I can see it more as a middle name or surname that somebody would go by, because I wouldn't use it as a first name.

I like it for a hippy weirdo kind of name =] I like -er names. On Shark Week they had a family, one of the kids was Wilder. They all had hippy/earthy/sea kind of names. Worked well, and I like Wilder more than the other names.
