I pronounce Erin with the e in "bed", EH-rin. I pronounce Karen with the a in "cat." If Erin was to rhyme with Karen, it would be spelled with an A...?

Janna is a Dutch name-- feminie of Jan. In English it would of course be JAN-a and just be an elaboration of Jan (the feminine name), but I think the other pronunciation is much prettier.
