(no subject)

Hello =]  I have a few names for you guys today.

A friend of mine is expecting her second child, a girl, she plans on naming her Alyssa Michelle and will join big brother Logan Michael.  Parents are Micah Lauren and Kyle(don't know the middle name).

Also, I recently met a guy named Cody Blake who has a brother named Cory and sisters Kryslin, Kassie and Kacey.   Sorry, I only know the middle name of Cody.

Last but not least, while roaming the internet a few days ago I came across a girl in her early 20s named Brennan.  I've only heard it used on a boy before, but kind of like it for a girl.

Thoughts on all?

I like Cassie and Casey better spelled like this. Why not just continue with all starting with c?

kryslin is horrible!

brennan is cute. kind of like brenda?

Alyssa Michelle isn't terrible but it seems very 80s to me.

The 80s have made so many names totally unconsiderable for me lol

My friend and her sister, born in '77 and '76, are Alyssa and Michelle.

Alyssa is pretty, very 90's high school preppy, though. The first thing the comes to mind with the names are Alyssa Milano and Logan's Landing. At least they are normal with normal spelling, though!

Cody and Cory as brothers is not good, but seperately they're not bad names. The K's hurt to look at.

How do you pronounce Brennan? Bren-nan? Bre-nan? To me it looks like the parents didn't know how to spell Brianna.

Alyssa Michelle and Logan Michael are okay, though I agree with some of the others about Alyssa Michelle seeming very 80s.

I like Micah, on a boy. I'm not a big fan of Lauren (it used to be very common). Kyle, I'm indifferent to.

Cody Blake and Cory are okay...though, I prefer Cory with an e (Corey). Kryslin is horrible, and Kassie and Kacey should have been spelt with Cs: Cassie, Casey.

Brennan...should have just been Brenna. I'm pretty sure Brennan is a boys' name, which is the gender I prefer it on. I don't think it's at all pretty for a little girl. :(

Ah, I just re-read: Brennan is in her early twenties. Not changing my mind, though: it's no good on a female of any age.

I actually like Kacey spelled this way.

My thought is that I hate when distinctly male names (Biblical!) are dubbed "unisex" and used on a girl, so Micah Lauren is awful.

Cody, Cory, Kryslin, Kassie, and Kacey are totally 80s, so if this sibset was in their 20's then it makes perfect sense. :D
