Hi there! I've been following this comm for a while. I'm from Finland, and thought I'd share my favourite Finnish names with you (there are a few, and as you might be able to tell, I'm more into girls' names than boys', hah).

(Unlike the US, our name laws are pretty strict, and you can't just name your child anything you'd like. Basically, the name has to either be in the calendar, or at least reminiscent of a name in the calendar, even if with a slightly different spelling. You also need to have a reason (for example one of the parents being from another country originally) to give your child a foreign name. I think the law is becoming a little less strict though because people keep coming up with new names they want to use. Just thought that I'd share this bit of info.)
