Just wanting an opinion. I have 3 of each.

1. Nicholas Michael (Nicholas is my oldest brother's name and Michael is my other brother who is also older than me)
2. Richard David (Richard WAS my uncles name before he passed away, David is my dad's name)
3. Nathan Daniel (I just really like the name)

(I just really like the girls names)
1. Mariah Love
2. Charity Hope
3. Candy Faith

Sorry but I always associate the name Candy with prostitutes/strippers.

Very nice boys' names.

According to a study I read, a lot of people think of Candy as a stripper name, yes...

The boys' names all would sound sort of generic if I didn't know they had meaning to you. I like Nathan Daniel the best.

I really dislike all of the girls' names...both in pairs and individually. Sorry! :/

Wow, you have really different naming styles for boys and girls. Your boy names are very traditional...boys with those names could have been born during any decade during the last 100 years, in any social class, in any profession as adults. But the girl names, whoa, they are not going to grow up to be lawyers and doctors, are they? Except maybe Charity Hope (and I like virtue names but two in one name is a lot!) but she will probably spend all her savings bailing Candy out of jail and paying off the boob job that Mariah put on her credit card. ;)

(Being silly of course. I grew up with a Kandie and she is one of the most thoughtful and generous people I know, and works in public health. Another Candy is friends with my mother and is a much beloved schoolteacher and librarian.)

Aw, I can understand that. I can tell you like sweet girly names. I think the family names you mention might have some possibilities for nicknames though. Like Tasha for Natasha, or Virginia could turn into Nia or Ginny. You could also go for an "inspired by" approach. Marion could be tweaked into Marissa, Mariana (or Mariah like you mentioned). Brenda could be modernized into Brenna. :)

I love your boys' names - refreshingly classic. Michael is one of those always popular names so there's always going to be a ton of them around, but it's a middle name in this case so it's not so bad, and its still a fine name.

The girls' names I don't really like at all, sorry - I am not a huge fan of virtue names, and Candy and Mariah are kinda diva-ish. It just doesn't bring up good pictures in my mind.

your girls names are really trashy (but i do love the name faith), while your boys names are nice and classic.

Like the boy names, especially Nathan Daniel. The girl names... not so much. Seriously, I know it's a bad thing, but a girl named Candy will have a hard time. At least name her Candace Faith, you can call her Candy then. Charity Hope is over the top IMO; two virtue names is too much. And Mariah Love... I don't know, I find it a bit bland.

I like Nicholas Michael as a name. I've always thought it was a touch strange to name a child after living aunts and uncles, though. I guess the name still seems "taken," whereas the name of a deceased or elderly relative is "available." Maybe that's just me.

I love David but don't really like Richard. I've just never liked the sound of it. It seems like such a prissy-boy name.

Nathan is one of my favorites. Daniel is fine, too, but I think I would pick Nathan David.

Your girls' choices... um... I really don't mean to hurt your feelings but for the sake of your future child, I have to say that they sound like stripper names. Maybe not Charity as much, but Mariah Love and Candy *anything*... I would definitely expect to see them dancing around a pole. What about Mariah Faith or Mariah Hope instead?
