I have cousins named Cedar (boy) and Kaiya, pronounced Ki-ah (girl). What do you guys think?0
And what do you think of the name Marcella (Mar-chell-a).

I prefer Kaiya without the I, but it's a great name.

well Kaiya without the name would be Kay-a rather than Ki-a. I probably should have put how it was pronounced-oops. Many people seem to prefer it spelt Khaia though.

Oh, I know. Kaya actually is Kye-uh. As is Kaia. I think Kaiya just looks overdone.

i love kaiya. & cedar is alright. it's definitely unique.

I absolutely love Kaiya and Cedar.

I do have to admit that I am not a big fan of the name Marcella though.

Cedar is actually really cute... and Kaiya is very pretty, nice spelling, but I prefer it Kaia.

Also, I am not a huge fan of Marcella... it's okay. I don't usually like the "chel" sound (which is funny because my name is Chelsea).

Love Marcella. Cedar is okay, if a bit weird. I keep thinking about moth pellets. Kaiya looks like it's got too many letters.

I like Marcella. I don't care for the other two.

Kaia/Kaya is a very nice name, but that spelling doesn't make sense. I don't think that the combination of letters "iy" actually exists at all in the English language (or any other language that I can think of).

I meant the letter combination "iy", not the name. Japanese obviously uses different characters.

Kaiya is on our top ten list (although I like it spelled Kya), but when I made a post about it everyone told me that it made us sound like pot heads b/c of the Bob Marley song. Cedar is a really cute name. It's different.

I also like Cedar a lot, more for a girl though.

Marcella is fine, though nms. It's very ethnic sounding, and I have not a drop of Italian in me.

I love Kaiya...not fond of Cedar and Marcella makes me think of Marcell, the monkey from FRIENDS.

I love the name Marcella. One of my best friend's sister is named Marcella. Her nicknames are Marcy and Cella.
