6/25/06 01:55 am - dncr119Okay I know I just made a post, but I just came across the post about guilty pleasures in names. I mentioned it in my comment to the post- but what does everyone thing of Sunny for a girl? Is it just to ridiculous?

I think it's cute. It reminds me of the name Summer. :)

kind of hippie-ish. but i think it's kind of cute. it might be hard for an adult though.

I actually like Sunny better than August, but it's still a little silly

I'm not a big fan of Sunny, but I don't hate it.

i think it makes a much better name for a pet, personally.

It's okay.

i think it's cute, but it may be hard to find a middle name to go with it(or atleast i cant think of any,lol):-)

Yes, it is too ridiculous. She won't be a little girl forever. Cute as a nickname, though (For Sonia, maybe?)

Do agree
Cute is nice, but just doesn't sound like a real/adult name.
I like as a nickname for either gender, will sometimes call my rabbit 'sunny boy'.

My great aunt's name was Sunshine... And I've always liked that name. (I know... I know... Sunny and Sunshine are two different names, but it made me think of it... :))

i met a girl with the middle name sunshine, she absolutely loved it and went by sunshine or sunny all the time. her first name was Erin-May i think.

I knew a girl named Sunni throughout high school and middle school. I hate the name. It seems too..fake.

very cute nickname, not a first name, though.

[identity profile] elemmennope.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
I like it a lot, but only as a nn for something a little more respectable. I think it could work as an affectionate nn for almost anything, but maybe an S name in particular.

By the way,
Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers daughter is named Sunny. :)

Like mentioned before, it reminds me of the name Sunshine. My cousin dated a girl whose name was Sugar Magnolia (yea, her parents were hippies) and her sisters name was Sunshine Daisy. My brother's FIL goes by Sunny, but that's not his real name.
