I have always loved Dmitri/Dimitri for boys. other boys names I like alright are Aleksei, Vladimir, Feodor and Ivan. For girls I like Katerina, Anya, Dasha, Kasia, Larisa, Anastasiya...
I grew up in a very Russian neighborhood - both girls I knew with that name were Russian. I don't know if the name actually was, but I've only ever heard it on Russian people. But I've noticed that a lot of popular Russian names are not actually Russian in origin. I wanted to list a lot more, mostly names of girls I knew, but doe a lot of them I chose not to because I wasn't actually sure if they were Russian, like Marina, Julia, Bella, Sofia/Sophia, Adelina... all of them were born in. The only people I've ever known with these names were born in Russia, but those names aren't super Russian :P
Other girls I knew, though I wasn't crazy about their names, were Irina, Inna, Isfira, Yelena, Olga, Svetlana, Bronislava, Lyudmila. I didn't mention them originally since I'm not too fond of them, but in case you were looking for Russian names, I suppose I might as well help out.
Oh - one name I forgot to mention that I DO like is Ksenia/Ksenya.
I have a similar sitch with boys' names, though if you are in fact looking I could suggest a few more of those too if you'd like :)
