Yikes

I just found out how my fiance's niece's name is spelled. I thought they'd picked out a nice name.
However.....

Chloee Jayde

Yeah... my fiance's older sister wanted, "to be different."

I told my fiance that our children will NOT be having names with pointless "e"s and extra "y"s thrown in just for the fun of it. He completely agreed. :)
First pick for a girl is currently Samantha.
Chelsea is a close second.
No middle names yet.

We still can't agree on any boy names. Good thing we have a year or two.

I think Samantha is cute. But are you okay with people calling her Sam?

my niece is samantha josephina and everyone calls her sam and sammy-jo....its funny and cute and i love it.

Haha yeah Chloee Jayde is going a little overboard. I think Samantha is classy, but I don't love it. Chelsea... ahh I don't even know what I think of this name, and it's my name! haha

Chloee looks like a typo, but I suppose it's not the worst alternative spelling around....

don't forget z's. my friend has a nephew named what I thought was Isaiah, but later found out it's spelled Izaiah. ugh. and actually writing it right now is the first time I've seen it written out and it looks awful!

But don't you want to be original? Why not try S'myanntha or Chylssie. Much better! ;)

Those are good choices :)

Ugh totally agree with you. Chloe Jade is such a lovely name too, if it aint broke don't fix it.

As a kid I was never quite sure how to spell my [given] middle name, and as an adult I notice how often people/companies use the standard spelling. It isn't even that outrageous a 'variant' either (Clair, as opposed to Claire).
I've grown to appreciate it, as it was quite well intentioned, but overall it's so not worth the agro/embarassment.

I've got a bit of a complex now. Gave myself a word name partly because surely everyone will get it right (it's on every other packet of stuffing, lol).
Would definetly not want to be a teacher in five years time, because damn no name is safe these days. Then people act like your the idiot for not being psychic and knowing how to spell their [kid's] name (my parents still get that way *roll eyes*).

Creative spellings can make pronounciation issue too. I have a forum friend Casie. For the longest time I thought it was said 'cassie', but nope it's 'casey'. She's used to that though.

I love Chloee Jayde! Totally going on my list with Chloe and Kloie.

Good choices of yours!

I like Chloe Jade, but man...those spellings are bad.

Samantha and Chelsea are good choices, too!

Chloe looks like it would be pronounced the normal way, KLOE-ee. but Chloee looks like it would be kloe-EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE with major emphasis on the EEEEEEEEEEE.

I've never liked Jade, and extraneous y's are hideous, so Jayde is my nightmare.

Samantha and Chelsea are, to me, really mid-1980s, but better than Chloee.

I like the name Jayde.

Now... Chelsea looks weird to me... lol It always has, though. The 'a' throws me off...

Chloe Jade would've been so pretty.... *cries* why must people be creative with their spellings? For example, a friend of mine, "Kaeleigh" ... now isn't that a TAD bit excessive spelling for Kaleigh/Kaylee? *sigh*

chloee looks like a typo.

she could have gone with cloe, or chloey

Chloee Jayde. Ouch.

I'm not a fan of Samantha or Chelsea. They're both kind of trashy.. where i live at least.
