okay sorry, my first comment got screwed up somehow, so here i go re-commenting.

I have a cousin named Chrissy so I think of her right away.
She is a really nice girl... very funny, laid back, an all-around cool person. Kind of shy around people she doesn't know very well. uhm... average intelligence but probably not college educated. I associate anyone named Chrissy with her, so that's what I think of people named Chrissy.

I think Chrissy if it's a nickname for Christine/Christina is entirely non-offensive and probably a hyper-common nickname. However, just naming your daughter Chrissy certainly makes me think: under-educated, stripper/waitress

Different spelling, but my best friend in elementary school was Krissy, short for Kristina. She was nice, artistic, intelligent. She almost majored in design in college (we ended up going to the same school though I hardly saw her) but switched to nutrition and is now a pharmacist. Since she's the only one I know, the name has positive conotations for me.

I'm an A/B student, a theatre major, and try to be nice to everyone, but I'm sort of shy, so it's a bit of a problem.
