So I really love the name Ella, however I am a fan of it as a nickname. I have been trying to think of names that would work with Ella and so far my favorite is Ariella.

My question to all you name experts is, could Ella work as a nickname for Evelyn?

Thanks!

I'm a little confused. Do you mean want names in which Ella could work as the nickname, rather than just using Ella as a full name?

But, yes, I think Ella could work for Evelyn.

evelyn no. how about eleanora?

i have found that just name your kids what you like ( if you REALLY like evelyn) and nicknames happen on there own. my own youngest is keely and we call her kiki. nicknames just evolve.

Yeah, nicknames usually happen on their own, especially name-specific ones (Ellie or Liz or Beth or Betsy for Elizabeth, for example).

I was going to suggest Eleanor so I agree with this suggestion. I also agree with the evolving nicknames comment.

My favorite for Ella/Elle is Estelle/Estella or Stella.

I'm sure it probably could, though I don't get how, haha. ;P
[livejournal.com profile] schexyschteve provided a list of names, most of which are much better than Evelyn, imo.
