What do you think about the combo Miriam Marie? Too many M sounds, or does it work? Big brother is Henry.

(Marie isn't for lack of creativity, it'd be for my grandmother.)

ETA: Thank you all for your opinions! The middle name means more to me than the first, so it's back to the drawing board. ;D

Yes, too many M sounds.

too many Ms and the names just sound way too similar to me. It would be like naming a kid Amy Amanda or Mitchel Michael or something like that, IMO.

It's not so much that there are too many M sounds, it's more that the names sound pretty similar to me. Miriam and Marie have a similar cadence and vowel sound to me.

Miriam is a form of Marie, so it would be quite a gaffe.
I love both names, but they need to be used separately.
First cousins wouldn't be apart enough to be carrying the names.

I'm going to be redundant and say that I agree: too many M sounds.
I do like Miriam, though.

I actually like a lot of M sounds. My future daughter is going to be a MMM. :x Mostly because, like you, I had a grandmother named Marie and my daughter will bare that name no matter what.

But I don't like Miriam and Marie together, as they sound so similar.

I don't have a problem with a lot of M sounds in the name in general. It's the repeated M in the middle I have a problem with - it makes it sound like there's really only one, so it's like Miriam Arie, kind of.

It sounds like two different versions of the same name.

I'm pretty sure that they both have the same origin, both coming from Mary. Besides that, I think it's too many M sounds; it's the middle one that's too much. Miriam and Henry are nice together, so I might go about finding a different middle name.

I don't think it's too many M sounds- I think it flows really well. But it does seem a bit odd since the names are both forms of Mary (or come from that originally).
