I was just visiting a blog I've been going to off and on for several years now and the author of the blog gave birth to a baby girl earlier this week. She joins a big sister.

Their names:

Amelia Joan
Lillian Jan

I think they go really well together, I love it.

I'm really interested in sibling names, so I thought I would post the names of my baby cousins who are siblings:

Hunter Benton (boy)
Logan Anne (girl)

&

Conner Bryce (boy)
Avery Jordyn (girl)

Just because? I'm bored, haha. Anyway.

I love the name Logan for a girl...SOO cute. And Jordyn is such a cool name, but I like it spelled Jordan better, I think.

Yeah, I don't like the y in Jordyn that much either. But I love Logan for a girl. It's much better than Rain which they thought about naming her.

Hahahaha, during my wannabe pot-smoking hippie days (haha, I have asthma, so unfortunately I never managed to become one ;)) I wanted to name my kids Rain (girl) and River (boy). Luckily I grew out of that one in about two weeks ;). I do like Rain, though...I think it's cute.

Okay, Rain and River... they're... They're bad, BUT I see the appeal to some people--like the Phoenix's. You know: Joaquin Phoenix, River Phoenix, Summer Phoenix, Rain Phoenix and Liberty Phoenix... and some of their offspring:
Rio Everest, Indigo Orion and Scarlette Skye, Jonas Winter, and Indiana August.

OMG those are fucking weird names, haha. I like Summer and I like Rain (kind of) but the rest are just...weird. And Rio Everest? WTF?! The only one I'd EVER consider naming my kid is Jonas. Oh and I like Orion.

My friend is obsessed with the idea of calling a daughter Stormy. Another one wants to call her daughter Pea :-/ She tried it out on a hamster & decided it would also work on a baby! I tried telling her that she was condemming her child to a lifetime of misery & bullying...but she wont listen!

Hunter Benton is ok. I used to know a guy named Benton "Ben."
Logan doesn't seem even the slightest bit feminine to me. I don't understand the appeal that one at all.
Conner Bryce is nms. I would prefer the Connor spelling to "one who cons" though.
I like Avery on a girl, but wish she'd been given a feminine mn instead of another unisex one.

Jan is horrible.. usually as a nickname to Janet? My mother is Janette & she's always absolutely hated it when people nickname her as Jan, it's kind of common i think.

Hunter & Logan go really really well together, i wouldnt have put Logan down for a girls name though. I'm starting to quite like Hunter.

Conner- I love it Connor. Don't like Bryce.
Avery- ehhhh i don't really like it, it's a place where you keep birds! I do like Ava however. I really hate Jordyn, especially that spelling.

I LOVE Lillian!! What a beautiful name. I hadn't even considered it.

I'd also never thought of Logan for a girl, but I'm really digging that too (and I think Anne is the perfect middle name there).

For Avery Jordyn, I think I (no judgment here) would spell Jordan (<-- like so) simple for the way it looks together with Avery. Nice combination though.

incidentally, my daughter is Amelia (Drew) and my step-son (her brother) is Logan (Allen). ;)

Logan's other sister (by his mom) is Kayla (Elizabeth).

Amelia and Lillian are GORGEOUS together. I think I'm definitely going to name a kid Amelia if I can, it's so pretty. I think Hunter has a nice sound to it, but I can never get past the meaning. Hunting = bad. I've never heard Logan for a girl before you mentioned it on your journal. It's not bad. I like Conner and Avery together, so pretty.

I'm in love with Hunter and Logan's names. I really like them. I wasn't a huge fan of Logan at first, but it grew on me, obviously. Avery I like the least of all, and I'm not a huge fan of Conner, but they go well together. But Amelia is one of my new favorite naes.

I'm not big on people that name kids things just so they go together...the longer they are siblings the more the names will sound right together IMO. Me and my siblings:

David, Jeanette, Stephanie, Daniel, James, Brandon and Kayla

Steel, Jeni/Jaycee, Steph/Ace, Danny, James, Brandon and Kayla
