I got bored, so I made a list of my top baby names and found their meanings.

Liam - Unwavering protector (Irish) [use as a fn]
Charles (Charlie) - Strong (Old English) [use as a fn after my great-grandfather]
Michael - Who is like God (Hebrew) [I'd use as a mn after my brother]
Luke - Bringer of light (Latin) [first name]
Atticus - too many meanings, haha. [use as a mn after the TKAM character, who I absolutely love]
Noah - Comfort (Hebrew) [probably wouldn't use, but I love the name]
Ely - Warrior (Hebrew) [ditto]

Julianna (Jules) - Youthful (Latin) [first name]
Olivia (Liv) - Peace (Latin) [first name] I liked it before I started watching my favorite TV show - Law & Order: SVU - but I love the character Olivia, so I'd be lying if I said it wasn't at least a LITTLE because of her
Sarah - Princess (Hebrew) [probably wouldn't use]
Emily - Ambitious (Latin) [I love it, but it's too popular right now. Maybe when I have kids it won't be]
Amelia (Mia) - Beloved (Latin) [Probably wouldn't use, but I love the name, ESPECIALLY the nickname Mia]

Liam is really starting to grow on me. And I like Noah, but wouldn't probably ever use it.

Julianna is my new favorite. And Olivia has been on my list since I was like 12. And I've recently started to love Amelia. And then of course, my name is on there. ;)

P.S. I can't believe Fox and Dana didn't make your list. HAHAHA. Oh.

I'm soooo going to marry Fox Mulder, haha. I think I may love him almost as much as Elliot. Maybe more. I was flipping out earlier during one of the episodes and I decided that if I was Scully, I would NEVER leave Mulder's side. Like, ever.

See, here's where I'm standing by my Dana Scully love. But I always do that--with female characters. But oh yeah, Mulder totally beats Elliot for me. I mean, Elliot's a good guy, right? He's sexy. But Mulder's COMPLEX, man. Like... like a banana split. And Elliot's a comforting vanilla cone. Hahaha.

Mulder has a rival in Doug Ross, though. I mean, Doug's my... he's my main man, man! Haha.

I'm actually not sure, haha. It's a common nickname for John Jr. but I've never heard it for other Juniors except him.

As for the Sib Sets. I love Avery for a girl. As well as Elly. But is Elly short for anything? I was thinking of using it as a nickname for Elisabeth. bc I dont like the trad nn of beth/liz

Elly could be a nn for Eleanor or like you said, Elisabeth.

Her real name is just Elly, but I've heard it used as a nickname for Elisabeth or Eleanor before.

my dd name is Amelia & my husband calls her 'Lia. the rest of my family calls her Mimi, ( a nn derived from my grandma's sister, my great aunt Mimi, whose full name was Amelia).

I'd never even thought of Lia as a nickname for Amelia...I love it :). Ahh, if I have a daughter and name her Amelia I'm going to have a hard time deciding between Lia and Mia.

thanks :) yeah, it's actually bc he doesn't really like her name all that much, but neither of us could commit to just naming her Leah (or Lia as the case may be.)
