I had a weird dream the other night that I had three daughters.

Their names were:
Amelia (which is actually my daughter)
Matilda
Lorelei

And they went by:
Milly
Tilly
Lilly

Now I don't call my daughter Milly, and I've never heard of Lilly as a nick name for Lorelei, but I guess I thought of it somewhere in my subconscious because, well, I dreamed it.

Anyway, wdyt of the names? As a sibset? Of the nicknames?

They're all very pop culture-inspired (Amelia Bedelia, Matilda, and Lorelei from Gilmore Girls). I think they actually work very well as siblings too, especially Amelia and Matilda. The nicknames are ridiculous though. :)

I wouldn't say they are pop inspired as I've never heard of the people that person listed. I named my daughter Amelia because I saw the name and fell for it. And Lorelei, or at least close versions of that name, were on our girl list for this current baby.

It's a good sibling set and I like the nicknames. But maybe that's just cause I actually do call my Amelia, Milly...which may or may not be because of Dead Like Me, hahahaha.

I think the full names make an adorable sibset!
The nicknames, though... no. just no. :P They would be super cute for three best friends in middle school or something, but not for sisters.

haha.
I mean... I guess it could be cute if it were something they came up with on their own and it was totally unplanned by the people who named them in the first place. For a group of young girls it would make a cool little ~exclusive club~ or something. I know I would have loved it in middle school. lol. So if it was like a "yay we're sisters and we love each other and look, we have matching nicknames and you can't be part of our little "illy" club! illy power!" thing I would find it totally clever and adorable. But if it were planned by the parent(s), that would totally turn me off.

I love Amelia and Matilda, and I really love them together. Lorelei doesn't fit in with them though in my opinion.

I think that sibset is really great!

The nicknames are probably not something I'd use publicly, but maybe used as cute family nicknames. My siblings and I each have ridiculous nicknames that we only use for each other (Tish, Sweda, and Beba), but they stay in the family because they're silly sounding. I think Milly, Lilly, and Tilly fit in that category as well.

I think the three are absolutely adorable as a sibset. The kicknames...not so much, haha.

Love the sibset. As for the nicknames...the only one I like is Lilly, but not for Lorelei. Also, I prefer the spelling Lily.
