filler middle names

I feel like every girl my age has one of the following middle names:
-Lynn
-Ann
-Marie
-Rose
-Elizabeth

More recently, I've heard "Grace" being used a lot as a middle name (or similar things like Joy and Hope). For boys, I think Joseph, Michael and James are most popular.

Now, I get that some of these names might have a family significance for you... but for most people, everyone has them because they just "go" and sound good with almost everything. What "filler" middle names do you like best? Do you think you would use one or would you try to find something less popular, even if it might not flow as well? I bring this up because I was looking at my list today and noticed I have "Elliott James" and "Nolan Michael" on there... I don't even particularly like James or Michael (though, I don't dislike them) and realized I only have them because they sound good and were extremely easy to come up with.

On a related note, what names do you like but would only use as a middle name? Any reason why you wouldn't use it as a first name?

Elizabeth is my favorite filler name, and I'd be using it... if my top first name wasn't Adele. (Adele Elizabeth just runs together into one name.)

Nickolas is one of my "names I could only use as a middle name" because everyone who knows me would guess I was using the name because of Nick Carter.

Haha oh man, I can only imagine you at least used to be a huge fan of him? Otherwise, that certainly wouldn't be the first thing I think a lot of people would think of. I like it as a middle name, but could never use it because it's my grandfather's middle name (and my parents already used it as a middle name for my brother) and it happens to be my boyfriend's brother's name. Nicholas, though.

It only counts as creepy if you use it as a first name, paired with the middle name Gene.

I can understand the reluctance, though. People who know me know I was a huge NSync fan, so now I'm afraid that people will think my #1 boy's name is after Justin Timberlake. When, just...no.

Bwahaha! Totally! And I would never, ever, ever in a million years use the name Gene (it was my first boss' name, and he was a grade A asshole).

I still consider myself Nick/Backstreet obsessed, but I wouldn't go that far!

(Bonus points for knowing Nick's middle name, though! ;D)

Sadly, I used to be able to rattle off middle names/birthdays for all 10 of them.

Now, I've moved on to being able to rattle off middle names of NASCAR racers....

I could probably do it myself, but I won't.

I can definitely do it for Backstreet (AND THEIR SONS!) and most of *NSYNC (I think... Joey's is the middle name I don't know... I do know he's exactly, to the day, three? years older than Nick!) but I won't do it here haha.

Haha. Yup, you're worse. I forgot Briana's middle name (if I ever actually knew it...) a long time ago. To be honest, I'm not sure I just spelled her name right, either.

Though I fear for the day Nick starts procreating. I swear he's gonna name his kids after video game characters (I've already predicted Link Icarus for a boy, and Zelda Samus for a girl.)
