It's kinda funny to see all the different names and how the name trends have changed in the 20 years she's been having kids.. some of their names are okay but some are reallllly bad.

[identity profile] ohhowlovely.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I kinda feel bad for the mom.. I mean, I went through one pregnancy and I'm kinda dreading doing it again.. and I can't image having to do it so many times
I wonder what her stomach looks like!

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/___heyvanity/ 2009-09-01 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe like Jacob (can't believe they haven't used it already), Janelle, Janessa, Jared, Jasmine, Jewel, Josephine, Jocelyn, Julia, Judith... I mean some of those are bad but at least tolerable.

Watch it'll be like Jasper, Jayden, or Justice.

Jesus would be fitting, however.

[identity profile] th3-unicorn.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL!!

[identity profile] whispertown.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
i'm surprised they haven't used jacob yet either!

[identity profile] krysteener.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] sourblowpop19.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
that's the exact name i told my mom they should use too! haha.

[identity profile] sandtree.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Personally I can't believe they've gotten through eighteen kids and haven't used Julia yet. Or anything related to Julia. Julie? Juliana? Juliet?

If it's a boy, I'm not sure. Maybe Jeffrey... or Jacob. I originally thought Jeremy, but I think they have a Jeremiah, right? And then I thought Jordan, but the last one's name was Jordyn. I would bet on Jacob for a boy.

[identity profile] schexyschteve.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought they were gonna use a Julia-related name for the last one, but they went for Jordyn.

[identity profile] zaggytiddies.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't put it past them to have a Jeremy and a Jeremiah... They have Joyanna and Johanna.

[identity profile] politicking.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Or a Jeremiah AND Jebediah. Aren't they twins, too??

[identity profile] smallandneedy.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
yep. Poor kids.

[identity profile] pythianlegume7.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 01:24 pm (UTC)(link)
You can think of 18+ J names that you like that aren't related to Julia???

[identity profile] giveitfullheart.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish I had played along when the "What would you name your 18 kids using all J's" game happened. I want to name my 18 kids! (well, 19 now)

[identity profile] harinakshi.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
J can be a bit too easy, what about Y? or Q?

[identity profile] smallandneedy.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
maybe we'll get another one of those now that there's 19 haha.

[identity profile] snoglobel.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
From the CNN article, Josh and Anna plan on naming their kid Mackynzie Renée

Just thought it was interesting. I don't like the Y or Mackynzie in general, but Renee is alright. They said they want to keep a theme, I wonder if the second generation of Duggar's will all be M's...

[identity profile] bluedano.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait, but what if you're one of the youngest kids in the family? Like what if you're number 19 and your siblings have already taken 18 of the 29 letters in the alphabet for their kids' letter-theme names and left you all the crappy ones like X and Q? Laaaame. ;)

Hahahaha :P

[identity profile] bluedano.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, damn those sixes and nines for looking so much alike and being right next to each other on the 10-key!

[identity profile] smallandneedy.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
I have 29 letters in my alphabet! :D hahaha.

I know that was beside the point, but I just had to shout that out there. I'm Norwegian btw.

[identity profile] harinakshi.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
That's what they should have done! Go through the alphabet!

If they hit 29, then they could start over with hyphens like Abigail-Brianna. Carolyn-Deanna. And so forth.

[identity profile] daydream11.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
They should've named them Joshua, Josiah, Jonathan, Jeremiah, Jacob, Jude, Joel, Jadon (this is legit; it's Biblical!), Jasper, Jonah, Jane, Josephine, Jocelyn, Julia, Jessica, Johanna, June, and Jacinta, and everything could have been just fine.

Instead they used crap like Jinger and gave two of their kids the same name. What a waste. *sigh*

I've been around second-generation Fundamentalists, and Mackynzie is tame compared to the foolishness I've seen. The theory is that because the Fundies marry young and aren't concerned with presentation as much as being cute (name-wise anyway), they're tons less conservative with names than their older, more liberal, less Christian counterparts.

[identity profile] eeangel44.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Jemma or Jaxton

[identity profile] ringsandcoffee.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
I think they have a Jackson already.

[identity profile] eeangel44.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
But not a Jaxton.. :) If they can do Joyanna and Joanna.. i do not put it past them to have a Jaxton.

[identity profile] ringsandcoffee.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
True, and there's 2 others with close names that I can't remember. I must say the only name that really bothers me in that set is Jinger.

[identity profile] bluedano.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
No matter how many times I read it, I still think it rhymes with ringer.

[identity profile] pinkslit.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Justin, if there isn't already one.

There is a large family (15+ kids) in this area and the youngest one is named Justin Other Massie. Seriously. Just another Massie.

[identity profile] patsfan610.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
i think they have a Justin already

[identity profile] solagirl.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
They are going to name the baby Juggar. Juggar Duggar.

[identity profile] velkoria.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
First off... I wanna say this disgusts me... I read an article about it and it's sol.... icky the way these kids are being raised. Not that they are becoming bad people or anything just little motherless robots. There is no reason for this woman to keep having kids... someone needs to get her a tube tying.

I don't know I was hoping for a Julie or Julia but they might go for something more... nutty.

I'm sure if this one is a girl they'll use Julia/Julie or some variant since they didn't with Jordan.

For a girl, my vote goes to Jasper/Jameson/Jacob. I wouldn't be surprised if they used Jadon though.
