(no subject)

A lady who served me in a shop was wearing a name-badge "Pool".

Pool.  WDYT?  Has anyone heard of it before as a name?  I don't know whether it's from the English word, or if it's a transliteration of a name from another language/culture.  I didn't have the nerve to ask her.

It could be a nickname. I've worked with a number of people who prefer to have their nicknames on name badges over their real name.

My name badge said "K" for the longest time. My name is Caitlin, people couldnt even pronounce "Cait".. they just said Cat. So K it was.

Sounds like it's probably a nickname (or maybe just the surname).
I'm hoping it is anyway, lol. ;)

I know a guy who goes by "Beach". It's his last name.

Maybe like 'pool blue'?
