WDYT of Desmond? And Eloise?

I hadn't heard either of those names before LOST and since then, they've both grown on me hugely. I think, anyway. Each on that fine line between "love it and want to use it" and "love it but could never use it." I think Eloise sounds really pretty but I don't like how it looks.

I LOVE Eloise. It's so pretty. I'm not too big a fan of Desmond, but I don't think I'd find it weird if someone used it.

Desmond is my absolute favorite boys name. If my husband and I have a son we will either be naming him Desmond or Sawyer.

Eloise is beautiful.

And Lost is just,... greatness. :D

I don't like Desmond at all, and Eloise... I like it, but I'd never use it.

I've liked Desmond for a long time, but because of Paul Desmond, not because of Lost (which I've never seen).

Eloise is pretty, but for a long time I thought it was pronounced eh-LOYS. The spelling is weird.

I love Eloise, I would definitely consider using it. I like Desmond too, just not as much as Eloise.

Really? I find that fascinating that you'd never heard either name before. I like Desmond. I have a favorite combo Desmond Hugh, obviously influenced by the Lost character. :) Eloise is kind of pretty. I know of someone with a 1 year old daughter with that name. It's also my great-aunt's middle name, but I dislike her and therefore can't really like the name too much.

Don't care for either and my grandmother's name was Bessie Eloise. My cousin named her daughter Betsy Eloise.

I love Eloise. Its one of my top five girl names.

I like Desmond but don't love it. I think the Lost character definitely makes it more likeable.

I love Desmond for the Beatles reference. <3 But I probably will never use it.
Eloise is alright, but I feel like it only works on someone who is British or Australian... I'm not sure why.

Eloise reminds me of the doll and books. It was my moms favorite story growing up, and she read it to me as a kid.

Desmond reminds me of my aunts brother (she's married in, so he's no relation, but a really cool guy)

I like Desmond, I don't like Eloise.
