i saw a guy at walmart today who was in his late 30s early 40's named Brayden, i didn't realize it went that far back...
some one called named Amalie, i always pronounced it "am-uh-lee" before but she said it "aw-muh-lee"
and there was a birth announcement at my friends grandmas for an Evin Frederick.

I went to elementary school with a boy named Braden (I'm 24). It's a pretty common last name where I'm from (Bradenton).

I'd say ah-ma-lee.

Brayden has been around since the 70's I think... comes from the last name O'Braden or something like that so it is a last name, or accepted as one that turned into that annoying ass name.

That is how Amalie is pronounced in French.

Hate Evin, think it should be Evan.

Yeah, there was a Braden on the current season of Big Brother, and he has got to be in his late 20s/early 30s. That threw me a little bit because I had never met/heard of an adult with that name.

My sister's name is Emily and while she was in China, her chinese friends would call her "Ah-muh-lee" (I have NO idea how to spell or speak chinese). It meant pretty or something.

Pretty random, but it reminded me of that.

In Norwegian, we pronounce Amalie like Ah-MAH-Lee-eh. or something of the sorts.
