Jun. 21st, 2006 06:11 pmWhat do you think of the name Thor? I know a boy named Thor and his sister's name is Heather and his brother is Jacob (I think). I knew Thor when he was a little baby and it just didn't seem right calling a newborn baby Thor.
What do you think?

Date: 2006-06-21 10:26 pm (UTC)Not convinced a mortal could carry it off quite so well; lot of baggage with the mythology, and just generally awkward sound/feel.
That is an odd sibset, totally all over the place.

Date: 2006-06-21 10:50 pm (UTC)I like it, even though it is very different from the other two (which I'm not a fan of, in fact, while I like a lot of Norwegian names). As someone mentioned, it's a Norse mythology name, which I actually think is pretty neat; I like some other mythology names too. I wouldn't go adding it to my favorites list, but yes, I like it.
