My friend's sister gave birth to twins yesterday afternoon!

Lucas Daniel
and
Alyssa (Joelle/Catherine... they're still deciding on the middle name)

They also have a 1-year old and an almost 3-year-old, Sophia Rose and Gabrielle Emilia.

As for Alyssa's middle name, my vote is for Joelle! What do you guys think?

Wow, 4 kids that aren't 3 yet. That's insane! More power to them.

I want to vote for catherine, but I think Joelle flows better.

I gotta say I think Catherine sounds nice, both with Alyssa and on its own

Alyssa Joelle flows better with Lucas Daniel, but i like the sound of Alyssa Catherine better. Course i also think it should be Katherine, but im bias,my step mom's name is spelt that way:-)

btw, your friend must have the patience of a saint to have that many little ones under the age of 5!lol.

I prefer Joelle.

I'm actually insanely jealous of them! I want my fourth child to be born before my first turns 6. My future hubbie and his sisters were born with less than two years between each of them, and they're all really close. I'd love for my family to be that way!

Do you think their closeness is completely because of the age gap, though? I'm sure it's possible if you have a few kids really close in age they could hate each other, or conversely if you have them all with at least 3 years apart they could still be close. It's a nice idea but if it doesn't happen to work out that way for you, I'm sure you could still have a nice closeknit family =)

No, it is not necessarily because of that, but because of the closeness in age they have always been able to relate to each other. My sister and I are four and a half years apart and used to be really close, but as we aged it became less and less possible for us to relate to each other because we were at such significantly different stages of our lives. Now we hardly even talk. I just think that siblings closer in age have more of a tendancy to be close and stay close because they never get to that point where it's like 'Ew, why am I hanging out with a 12 year old?' when they're a teenager. Of course, other factors have to be in place like just being a loving family, but I would HOPE my family would be like that regardless.

I'm the same, my brother and I are 6 years (bar one week!) apart & we got on well until i hit me teens & now we rarely talk, we have nothing in common really.
It wasnt by choice that things turned out that way, we're both IVF babies so i guess it's a blessing he's here at all... but im hoping when he's older we'll be on the same wave length & be friends again. aww.. lol
