These are categories in a book called 'A For Atticus'. It's a book full of literary names :) It's back at the library at the moment, so I can't post the author, but it was very interesting.

I think it's funny that Ariel is there under "The Bard's Babes" since wasn't he a male character in The Tempest?

i think of The Little Mermaid.
So I think of it as a girl's name

sure but the rest of the names on that part of the list were female characters from Shakespeare plays.
Even if it is also a female name, it shouldn't be on that particular list was what I meant.

Lol. I was named after Jordan in The Great Gatsby, so I certainly know it's literary (and I wish others did!).

It makes me happy to see Clover on there. :) That name keeps jumping on and off my list of favorite girls' names.
