Genesis is not bad. I like how it sound and it has a nice meaning.
Maybe too biblical, but there's far, far worse.

Jessinia is atrocious.

Jessenia is an Arabic name, meaning flower, and I've known a lot of spanish girls named Jessenia. The i instead of the e seems like a spelling variant that I am personally not to fond of, but it's not atrocious. I actually think Jessenia is a very lovely name

you're definitely right, I'd forgotten about Jessenia.
I have to say I'm not fond of it at all either, but Jessinia is possibly much worse!

Naaah, no way! Come on, in this community, we've seen butchering and mutilations of spelling much worse than this. Gysinnyaah? What of you saw that? Now, you KNOW someone, probably not anyone in this community, thought "oh, what a kre8tyvv and ewe-neek way to spell Jessenia!"

I don't mean that it's bad because of spelling, I just meant that the spelling variation makes it even worse, but because I already dislike the name :D

A recent friend of mine just had a Willow Genesis.

It will never cease to surprise me how really popular Genesis is. I don't get it.

it surprises me that people see Genesis as a weird name... I am a Monica and I know more girls named Genesis here than Monicas... I've never seen it spelled anything other than Genesis though.

I've never known anyone named Genesis

think it has something to do with demographics... I live in Venezuela and it's a rather popular name here.

I know a Jessenia/Jessica sibset too

Ahaha, the daycare centre near us is the Genesis Centre ("bible-based childcare"). They just got new signs... "Genisis Centre".

Like I'd send my kid to a place that can't even SPELL ITS OWN NAME.

Genesis was ranked 98 on the social security list for 2008, so it's more common than you'd think. I do not like it at all.

Jessica and Jessinia are way too close for siblings. Unless they pronounced it like Yesenia (yeh-SEE-nee-ah), but even then, the spellings are too close.

I knew a ton of girls named Genesis at my middle/high schools - I think it's pretty.

Jessinia would be pretty if it were spelled Jessenia or Yesenia, but it's too close to Jessica.
